The brainchild of Dave 'Diamond' Prince, who has been on the Rock 'n' roll scene now for over 40 years. Dave has played in many different bands since taking up drumming back in the 80's and has been lucky enough to have played in many top venues throughout Europe.

Dave decided the time was right in 2019, to get some of his self penned trax that he had written as far back as 2015, into the limelight and find someone to collaborate with to make it all possible...

Dave decided to call his longtime friend Dragan Zac Zdravkovic (Zac) to see if he was up for making some top tunes and to bring his songs into fruition and the plan was for the 3 trax to be released on record around June of 2019.

Dave set out in February 2019 for chez Mondo and he recorded the drums, backing vocals and screams and yells and Zac laid down his vocals, guitar and double bass on all of Dave's self penned tunes and Zac had also written an exclusive instrumental so that was given the Daddio's treatment too! All the mixing was completed on the same day and then Zac did the mastering too within the month.

Dave set up a Facebook Page in June 2019, to help promote the debut release and announce the collaboration of the two musicians...within a day he had received over 30 pre-orders of the vinyl!

Dave had written a track called Vauxhall a Go-Go about the 1956 Vauxhall Wyvern car he and Susie owned and decided that would be the title for the 4 track E.P. All was set for a summer release but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control the record company let Dave down and never released the trax, so it had to be put on the back burner and the plan was to release them early 2020!

Then more delays from the record company due to personal commitments, and not only that but then in early 2020 the Covid pandemic hit the U.K. So in April Dave and Susie decided they could no longer wait for the record company to bring out the release, so bought the rights to the 4 trax and made the decision to release the songs on a C.D.

Dave decided to call his label appropriately 'Diamond Discs' and contacted an online company who would print the front and back cover and produce the printed CD.

The debut release was limited to only 100 copies so the back cover had a small Diamond on it where Dave wrote out all the numbers 1/100 , 2/100 and so on...

Dave had help along the way from his friend Terry Murrell and Chris Martin to bring his artwork to life and he published all the tracks with Pedro at Bucks Music Group who he had used before for his self penned songs.

Officially released on 29th April 2020

Even before it was finally released ..The original yellow covered 100 individually numbered 4 track C.D had over 70 advanced orders and literally SOLD OUT in 8 hours during general sale!

Re-Press officially released on May 6th

Dave made the decision to do a re-press and decided to change the yellow cover to a baby blue and removed the limited edition copies and just have 50 more made.....Through the Diamond Daddio's Facebook Page and D.J's for their support in the early days Porky/Sarah, Andy B and Janie/Dynamite Ady playing the songs on Facebook live we already had 30 pre-orders for the second run and these too sold out in 24 hours! Soon after more D.J's started to get the CD, with the songs were being played on Facebook on a daily basis and everyone one was asking about Diamond Daddio's and it was getting amazing fantastic feedback!

Final re-press officially released on May 11th 2020

The demand for Diamond Daddio's was crazy and with the constant messages and the amount of airplay both C.D.'s were now getting, a third and final release was brought out in a pastel pink, and those were all snapped up in ONLY 9 hours!

So it's now 2023 and Dave has written more original songs so felt the time was right to collaborate with another musician and with all his experience Dave decided to go with John O'Malley, and after discussing his new release a date was set to record at Malley Cat Studios ... date set was 10th April!!

I ams so proud and delighted to announce the return of Diamond Daddio's and I have the fantastic John O'Malley joining me as a Daddio, and this time there will be 7 original track written by me! I will be releasing these new songs on my own CD Label Diamond Discs and they will be individually numbered 1-100 and I am hoping to release this NEW C.D. sometime in May!

...So in just one day all 7 songs were completed and mixed with John just left to do the final master and then flip them all over to me, so that I can then move on to the artwork design. I have used Vince Ray before, so he was the natural choice and after Susie had drawn a rough design Vince brought it actually to life...
